How to play roulette
Roulette is a wheel game that is easy to play, easy to understand but always remains to be like the Wheel of Fortune. Whether there are 37 or 38 slotted numbers on the wheel, which spins on an axis, depends upon the roulette wheel played – an American or a European.
If you are a novice at roulette, you’d better know some basic rules of playing this game and the general way the game is played. So, the roulette has numbers of two colors – either black or red from 1 to 36. The numbers 0 and 00 are green.
A person who spins the wheel in one direction and rolls the ball around the edge in the opposite one is called a croupier. He sells chips and you need to buy them when you sit at a roulette table. The dealer or the croupier should know who to pay off at the end of each spin. For this reason each player has his own color of chips. Players are not allowed to bet after the croupier announces "No more bets." He says it when the ball’s spin starts to decay. Then it falls into one of the numbered slots and if that slot matches your bet, you win.
Do not forget to cash out your roulette chips before you leave the table. You cannot cash roulette chips at the cashier cage because the value of a certain color changes during the day. If you have not cashed out your roulette chips and left the table, you risk getting the little amount of money for the chips, no matter how much you have paid for them. The croupier cannot remember denomination of each player once you stopped playing or leave the roulette table. Remember to cash out chips before you leave the table.
Remember not to bet after the croupier announces "No more bets" for it will be an illegal "past posting" call. It is considered to be a cheat so be cautious. Moreover, you are not allowed to place your next bet until the croupier finishes paying off the previous bets. The losing bets are swept off the table before winners get their money. To see the marker on the top of your color of chips is the dream of all players.
